Using the marker, I wrote the numbers 1-6 on a piece of paper. The little guy and I worked on identifying the numbers. I wasn’t really expecting much but he recognized the numbers 1 and 2! I would just point to the number and ask what he though it was—absolutely no pressure to read them.
Using the dot stickers, we worked on making the connection to the written word and what it represented. This was a great way to work on the pincer grasp and hand-eye coordination!
