Oil pastel crayons are my favorite of the art mediums! The colors are so vibrant and the colors transfer so easily that you can color longer without experiencing muscle fatigue.
I found a fun activity to try via kitchentableclassroom website so I thought my boy and I could give it a try!
What you’ll need: -Oil pastel crayons -Cotton swab -An oil (I used olive oil) -Thick paper (like resume paper or construction paper)
Step 1: choose your color(a) and apply a thick layer on the paper Step 2: Dab the cotton swab in the oil and spread it across the colors to blend and extend them Optional: use a toothpick to create a drawing inside your blended colors!
