One person’s nuisance is another person’s treasure. Wood chips and rocks help facilitate learning in a variety of ways!
Here’s some ways you can incorporate these into learning activities:
Lining them up and counting them
Building vocabulary (prompting toddler to repeat the words)
Using them in a sink-float science experiment
Creating mini maze for toy cars
Encourage letter or number recognition by writing on rocks and spell out words or make number sequences
Uses painted rocks to patterns to create patterns or wood chips and painted rocks to create patterns
Use a magnifying glass to explore the differences between wood chips and rocks
Create a shop that sells rocks or wood chips or both!
