We spent part of yesterday at a campground for a family picnic —-luckily I had the foresight to bring some construction toys because this boy loves to play in the rocks! As soon as we got there, he got his excavator and dump truck and started scooping!
Our sensory activity consisted of pretending to be a construction worker while using a saw to cut lumber. You can’t see it but the little guy has a microscopic stick he’s trying to cut. 🤣 It was a great opportunity to practice those whole-arm movements, hand-eye coordination while also engaging in some sensory play!
As mentioned earlier, the little guy was more than eager to break out the excavator and dump truck upon our arrival. That’s just what our math activity consisted of! I’d say he got plenty of scooping practice! 😉
