Rainbow spaghetti

We made rainbow spaghetti for lunch today!

What you’ll need:

-Food color -Cooked spaghetti -Ziploc bags -Water

Directions: 1) Cook spaghetti to your liking 2) While spaghetti is cooking, pour 2tbs of water and 20 drops of food coloring into Ziploc bags. Use a separate bag for each color. We had red, blue and, yellow but made green, purple, and orange by mixing colors! 3) Once the spaghetti is cooked, rinse it with water to cool it down 3) Divide the spaghetti into the bags and help the color spread onto the spaghetti 4) Pour the colored spaghetti into a strainer to rinse off the extra color 5) Add your favorite toppings, heat in the microwave, and enjoy!

Making rainbow spaghetti is the perfect opportunity to explore how colors mix to make new colors, practice counting, and identifying colors!
