Watermelon art!

This week we are learning all about summer! After doing some brainstorming, one item that screams summer fun is watermelon!

During art time, we made watermelon slices! To do this activity with your littles, you’ll need:

-Child-safe red paint

-A green and black marker

-A triangle cut piece of bubble wrap

-Scissors (for adult or child use)

All you have to do is dip the bubble wrap in the paint and then transfer it to the paper. Once dry, add in some seeds and watermelon rind!

Skills worked on during this activity include:

-Engaging in multi-sensory activities

-Hand-eye coordination

-Finger painting with control

-Holding a writing utensil
