Year round use for plastic eggs

Those little plastic eggs aren’t just for Easter egg hunts! They be incorporated into activities that work on language building, fine motor, and mathematics!

Here’s a couple activities to try:

  1. Introduce the concept of identifying colors by holding up an egg and identify it by color and name. Periodically check your child’s understanding by asking to identify a color. For an added challenge, split the eggs apart and have your child match the two sides together or match up colors!

  2. Split the two sides apart and grab a small amount of paint for dipping. Encourage your child to make some beautiful artwork! Older children can even create a game board or their own monthly calendar!
